Getting Back to Basics: A Journey of Faith
Starting a journey of faith is never easy. It involves setting goals, expending time and energy, and facing the unexpected along the way. But it's a journey that is worth taking, especially when the destination is a deeper understanding of God's Word and a closer relationship with Him.
Like a magnet, our lives attract both positive and negative experiences. Some of these experiences are welcome, while others are not. As we journey through life, we carry with us unwanted burdens that weigh us down. For those of us who have been Christians for a while, it can feel like we're wearing a name tag that we forgot to take off years ago. We've picked up different doctrines and beliefs along the way, and we may feel jaded, burdened, and confused.
That's where Back to Basics: Christian Living comes in. Our goal is to strip away unwanted doctrine, theology, and other people's agendas, and learn directly from the Bible how to live our lives with God and Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is the foundation of our Christian faith, and it contains all that God wants us to know.
To start your journey with us, you need to get to know our Heavenly Father through His Word, the Bible. Once we apply the truths of God's Word in our lives, we can live as He intended us to, in Christ, with Him. We believe that having the right foundation to build upon will develop you in the right direction to become a true disciple of Jesus Christ.
Our 40-day reading plan, Project 356, is a great starting point to learn more about the Bible and how it applies to your life. The purpose of Project 356 is for you to get a feel for the Word of God, to know what is written, how it's written, and to whom it's written. By the end of the 40 days, you will have a better understanding of God's Word and how it applies to your life.
But our website offers more than just the reading plan. We have blogs and newsletters on Back to Basics: Christian Living, which we encourage you to check out.
