The World Has No Answer: Why Are We Looking There?
In an age of unprecedented access to information, humanity finds itself more confused than ever. We turn to social media for wisdom, to celebrities for moral guidance, and to political leaders for hope. Yet despite endless opinions, expert analyses, and trending philosophies, the world remains fractured, anxious, and desperately searching for answers it cannot provide. The question we must ask ourselves is this: why do we continue looking to a broken world for solutions when the true answer has been available all along?
The world offers temporary fixes to eternal problems. It provides self-help strategies that crumble under pressure, ideologies that shift with cultural trends, and promises of fulfilment through material success that leave souls empty. Scripture warns us clearly: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5 KJV). Yet we persist in seeking answers from human wisdom, which the Apostle Paul describes as foolishness: "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (1 Corinthians 3:19 KJV).
The truth is that the world has no ultimate answer because it is itself part of the problem. John reminds us, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him" (1 John 2:15 KJV). The world's systems—its philosophies, values, and solutions—are rooted in sin and separation from God. Seeking answers there is like asking darkness to produce light.
The true answer lies not in worldly wisdom but in God Himself, revealed through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6 KJV). He is not merely one option amongst many; He is the only answer to humanity's deepest needs. Through Christ's death and resurrection, we find forgiveness, purpose, peace, and eternal life—answers the world can never provide.
This divine answer is made accessible through the power of the Holy Spirit, who Jesus promised would guide us: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13 KJV). The Holy Spirit illuminates God's Word, convicts us of sin, empowers us to overcome, and leads us into the fullness of God's will for our lives.
God's will is perfectly revealed in His Word, the Bible. Scripture declares, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works" (2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV). The Bible provides absolute truth in an age of relativism, unchanging principles in a world of shifting values, and divine wisdom that surpasses all human understanding.
The tragedy of our age is not that answers are unavailable, but that people refuse to seek them where they truly exist. Jesus lamented, "Ye will not come to me, that ye might have life" (John 5:40 KJV). The world's confusion is wilful—a choice to reject divine truth in favour of human autonomy.
As believers, we must recognise this reality and boldly proclaim the answer the world desperately needs. We must stop looking to broken systems and start pointing people to the unshakeable foundation of God's Word. "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV).
The world has no answer. It never did, and it never will. But God does—and His answer is sufficient, complete, and eternal. The question is: where will you look?

Street preachers are arrested for quoting Scripture, believers lose employment for expressing biblical views, and social media platforms censor Christian content whilst promoting anti-biblical messages. This isn't accidental—it's a strategic effort to silence the truth that sets people free. Yet we must recognise this as a spiritual battle, not merely a cultural one, and respond with the weapons God has provided: prayer, Scripture, love, and unwavering faith. We're called to stand firm, prepared to defend our faith with both conviction and compassion, even when it costs us reputation, relationships, or freedom. The stakes are eternal—our courage to speak may be the very channel God uses to bring salvation to the lost. As the early apostles declared when commanded to stop speaking about Jesus, "We ought to obey God rather than men." This is not a time for fear or retreat, but for bold proclamation of truth. The Scriptural Foundation for Discernment
In an age of spiritual deception, believers must discern truth from cunningly disguised falsehood. False doctrine arrives dressed in religious garments, mixing Scripture with poison to make lies palatable. Those ensnared genuinely believe they're serving God, making this deception particularly dangerous.
Scripture alone—not experience or feelings—must be our foundation. The enemy produces counterfeit signs and wonders to keep believers bound in error. The tragedy is the spiritual blindness it produces: those trapped cannot see their condition, walking in darkness whilst convinced they walk in light.
False doctrine persists because it appeals to human desires rather than calling for surrender to God's will. Our response must be threefold: know God's Word deeply, pray fervently for discernment, and speak truth in love even when rejected.
Whilst false doctrine can discourage us, God is sovereign and His truth will ultimately prevail. We must remain faithful witnesses, trusting the Holy Spirit to convict and convert. The battle is real and ongoing, but truth has already won through Christ's victory on the cross…

The Christian life is marked by an unseen spiritual battle, yet believers are far from defenceless. The Holy Spirit, promised by Jesus as our Comforter and Helper, is not merely a theological concept but the very presence of God dwelling within us. But stands alongside us in every challenge, convicting us of sin without condemnation, assuring us of our salvation, and interceding when we lack words to pray. Through this power, we receive spiritual gifts to serve the body of Christ and cultivate supernatural fruit—love, joy, peace, and patience—that flows not from human effort but from abiding in Christ. Seeking Divine Healing in an Age of Crisis
In our modern world, we face an unprecedented crisis affecting both body and mind. Mental health issues have reached epidemic proportions, whilst the very food we consume and medications we rely upon often contribute to—rather than cure—our physical ailments. Chronic diseases proliferate, anxiety and depression grip countless souls, and many find themselves trapped in cycles of dependency on pharmaceutical solutions that mask symptoms without addressing root causes. Yet in the midst of this crisis, the church has largely remained silent about the most powerful source of healing available: God Himself, accessed through Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Scripture declares unequivocally that God is our healer. "I am the LORD that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26 KJV). This is not merely a historical statement but an eternal truth about God's nature and His desire for His people. The Psalmist proclaimed, "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3 KJV). God's healing power encompasses both spiritual and physical restoration, addressing the whole person rather than merely treating symptoms.
Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus demonstrated God's heart for healing. "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people" (Matthew 4:23 KJV). His healing ministry was not incidental but central to His mission, revealing the Father's compassion and power. He healed the lame, restored sight to the blind, cleansed lepers, and delivered those tormented by demonic oppression—demonstrating authority over every form of human suffering.
This healing ministry did not end with Christ's ascension. The Holy Spirit continues Christ's work through the church today. The apostle James provided clear instruction: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up" (James 5:14-15 KJV). This is not merely symbolic but a practical command for believers facing illness.
Yet tragically, many modern churches have abandoned this biblical mandate, relegating divine healing to history or dismissing it as irrelevant in our age of advanced medicine. Whilst medical science has its place, it cannot replace the power of God. "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" (Proverbs 3:5 KJV). Our ultimate trust must rest in God, not in human solutions that often create as many problems as they solve.
The church must reclaim its voice, teaching believers to seek God first for healing. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33 KJV). This means prioritising prayer, faith, and obedience to God's Word over immediate recourse to pharmaceutical interventions. It means teaching about the spiritual roots of many physical and mental afflictions, acknowledging that "a merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones" (Proverbs 17:22 KJV).
The promise remains for those who believe: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:17-18 KJV). God's healing power is available today for those who will believe, seek Him earnestly, and teach this truth boldly in the church…
