Week 10

Week 10

Your Weekly Round-up Sunday!

Welcome to Week 10 of our Round-up Sunday! This week, we're bringing you powerful biblical teaching and practical Christian living content that will challenge, encourage, and equip you in your walk with Christ. We begin with our foundational teaching on The Ongoing Battle of Christian Warfare, reminding us that the Christian life is not a single skirmish but an ongoing campaign requiring constant vigilance and unwavering faith. From the moment we surrender to Christ, we're enlisted in the greatest conflict in human history—but we fight from a position of victory already won at Calvary.

Throughout the week, you'll find fresh content published daily across our platforms. On Monday, we tackle the question Where Have All the Like-Minded Believers Gone?—addressing the challenge of finding faithful community in a changing world. Tuesday brings us When God's Word Is Enough, challenging the tendency to treat Scripture as negotiable rather than settled truth. Wednesday's "Write This Down" feature asks Why We Won't Play the Game, explaining our commitment to biblical faithfulness over popularity and algorithm-chasing. On Thursday, we declare Can't Stop! Won't Stop!—proclaiming truth regardless of opposition. And Friday delivers Part Two of our series on Strengthening Your Faith, exploring how genuine biblical faith transforms us from the inside out.

Our YouTube channel continues with daily content including Morning: Awakening Faith devotionals, Something to Think About reflections, Messages from the Outpost shorts, and our core teaching series. Plus, don't miss our podcasts Blazing Apostles and Saturday Conversations offering engaging discussions and practical biblical applications.

This week also includes an important update in our NEWS section about standing firm when life disrupts ministry, reminding us that spiritual attacks are real and sometimes pausing to regroup is biblical wisdom. We close with a powerful call to arms in Spiritual Warfare: A Call to Christian Soldiers, equipping you to stand firm, fight the good fight, and live victoriously in Christ.

Get ready for a week of solid biblical teaching that refuses to compromise truth for comfort. Let's dive in!

The Ongoing Battle of Christian Warfare

Standing firm in faith, equipped for battle, victorious in Christ…

The Christian life is a battle. Not a single skirmish to be fought and forgotten, but an ongoing campaign of spiritual warfare that demands constant vigilance and unwavering faith. From the moment we surrender our lives to Christ, we enlist in an army engaged in the greatest conflict in human history—the cosmic struggle between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. The Apostle Paul makes this abundantly clear: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12 KJV). Notice the present tense—we wrestle, not we wrestled. This battle is ongoing, relentless, and unavoidable for every believer.

Our adversary never rests. Peter warns us to "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8 KJV). The devil is constantly prowling, constantly seeking, constantly attacking. He doesn't take days off, and neither can we afford to lower our guard. Every day brings fresh challenges—temptation, discouragement, doubt, fear, spiritual dryness. The battles change, but the warfare continues. This is the reality we signed up for when we chose to follow Christ.

Yet here's the crucial truth that transforms everything: we're not fighting to achieve victory, but from a position of victory already won. Christ has defeated sin, death, and the devil at Calvary. "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:15 KJV). The war is won; we simply enforce that victory in our daily lives. Every battle we face, we face as overcomers. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4 KJV).

Our faith isn't passive—it's militant, active, and fighting. This is why Paul instructs us to "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11 KJV). Every piece of spiritual armour matters: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. These aren't optional accessories but essential equipment for survival in spiritual warfare. Too many believers stumble into battle completely unprepared, wondering why they keep falling.

Remember this: these battles aren't merely obstacles to overcome but opportunities to grow. "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience" (James 1:2-3 KJV). God is forging warriors, refining us through every trial, strengthening us through every challenge, making us more like Christ through every battle. The warfare isn't random—it's purposeful. And we never fight alone. "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1 KJV).

So keep your armour on, keep your sword sharp, and keep fighting the good fight of faith…

Where have All the Like Minded Believers Gone?

Finding faithful community in a changing world: Where true believers gather despite cultural shifts…

Practical Steps for Finding Like-Minded Believers

This teaching blog addresses the growing sense many believers feel that faithful, like-minded Christians are becoming harder to find. It explains that Scripture foretells a colder spiritual climate in the last days, where iniquity increases and many will no longer endure sound doctrine, choosing messages that suit their own desires. Even so, the blog reminds readers that feeling alone does not mean being alone, because God has always preserved a remnant, as seen in Elijah’s experience. It encourages believers to seek genuine fellowship with discernment, recognising that true Christian community may be found in smaller, less traditional settings and that technology can help connect people but cannot replace real, sharpening relationships. Above all, it calls readers to keep hope anchored in Christ, to pursue love and unity on purpose, and to trust God’s presence and strengthening when fellowship seems scarce…

When God's Word Is Enough!

Why We Don't Need to Negotiate with Heaven…

When We Treat God Like a Negotiator

This teaching addresses a common but troubling pattern in Christian prayer life: treating God's Word as negotiable. Many believers read Scripture's clear instructions, then immediately pray hoping God might offer a different answer or make an exception. This approach fundamentally misunderstands both the nature of God's Word and the purpose of prayer. Scripture is settled in heaven, unchanging and eternal, precisely because God Himself never changes. His character guarantees the reliability of His revelation. Prayer is not meant to amend God's clearly stated will but to align our hearts with it. When we approach God hoping for a more convenient truth than what He's written, we're repeating the serpent's ancient temptation to Eve, questioning whether God really meant what He said. True prayer seeks strength to obey what we already know, understanding to apply eternal truth wisely, and transformation of our hearts to desire what God desires. Scripture is sufficient for life and godliness, thoroughly equipping us for every good work. While God does speak to us individually through His Spirit, He will never contradict His written Word. Any impression or feeling that opposes Scripture doesn't come from God, no matter how spiritual it seems. In a shifting world where everything temporal fades, God's unchanging Word stands as an anchor. Rather than asking God to move that anchor, we should let it hold us fast, embracing His truth with gratitude even when it's difficult…

Why We Won't Play the Game!

A Call to Biblical Faithfulness…

Choosing Faithfulness Over Popularity

In a digital age obsessed with views, clicks, and viral content, Back to Basics: Christian Living has made a deliberate choice—we won't play the algorithm game. Whilst many ministries chase engagement metrics and craft messages designed to tickle ears, we remain committed to teaching the whole counsel of God, even when it's unpopular or challenging. The Apostle Paul warned of a time when people would reject sound doctrine in favour of what pleases them, and that time has arrived. Our mission isn't to accumulate followers but to honour God through comprehensive biblical truth that transforms lives, not merely entertains audiences. We tackle the difficult subjects many avoid—repentance, holiness, sacrifice, obedience, and dying to self—because these are essential for genuine discipleship. Jesus made clear that following Him requires denying ourselves and taking up our cross. We're calling believers back to basics: to paper Bibles held in hands, to Scripture memorised and lived out, to being doers of the Word and not hearers only. Yes, our view counts might be lower, but we're measuring success by faithfulness to God's Word and transformed lives, not worldly metrics. The Church doesn't need more entertainers playing the algorithm game—it needs shepherds willing to speak truth in love and teachers committed to the full revelation of Scripture. Jesus taught that the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and few find it. We choose that narrow path, trusting God to bring those genuinely seeking truth, transformation, and authentic relationship with Christ. Our calling isn't to be popular—it's to be faithful, and in God's economy, that's the only metric that ultimately matters…

Can't Stop! Won't Stop!

Proclaiming the Truth of God's Word…

Proclaiming Truth in a World That Refuses to Listen

In a world where truth is increasingly rare and compromise is celebrated, those who dare to proclaim God's Word as it is written often find themselves walking a lonely path. This is the reality of biblical ministry in our age—a reality where obedience to God's calling matters far more than popularity or applause. The Apostle Paul understood this tension when he wrote to the Corinthians about the compulsion he felt to preach the gospel, declaring that necessity was laid upon him. This divine urgency is not driven by personal ambition or the desire for recognition, but by a burning conviction that souls hang in the balance and eternity is at stake.

The narrow path Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7 is not crowded. Those who walk it often find themselves in the minority, sometimes even within the church itself. Yet this is where true discipleship takes place—not in the comfort of popular opinion, but in the uncomfortable territory of unwavering obedience to Scripture. The lukewarm church that Jesus rebuked in Revelation serves as a sobering reminder that God is not impressed by religious activity divorced from genuine transformation. He calls us to be doers of the Word, not merely hearers who deceive themselves into thinking that consumption of biblical content equals spiritual maturity.

The cost of proclaiming truth in an age of deception is real. Opposition, rejection, and isolation often accompany those who refuse to soften Scripture's edges or dilute the gospel to make it more palatable. Yet like Jeremiah, who found God's Word burning like fire in his bones, those called to this ministry discover they cannot remain silent. The message demands expression regardless of the consequences, driven not by a desire for conflict but by love—love for God and love for souls who desperately need to hear truth.

Success in God's Kingdom is not measured by worldly metrics. Noah preached for 120 years and saw only his immediate family saved, yet he is honoured in Scripture as a man of righteousness. His legacy was defined not by results but by faithfulness. In our age of social media where value is often equated with visibility, we must resist the temptation to measure ministry by clicks, views, and likes. Our calling is to please God, not people, and to stand faithfully on the whole counsel of Scripture knowing that God's Word will accomplish the purpose for which He sent it. Can't stop, won't stop—until the trumpet sounds and our Saviour returns, we press on in obedience, proclaiming the truth as it is written…

Living Faith: Strengthening Your Faith - Part Two

Building faith that doesn't just survive—but thrives in a world that tests what we believe…

Faith That Moves Mountains

In a world that constantly challenges what we believe, true faith must be more than intellectual agreement—it must be alive and active in every area of our lives. This teaching explores how genuine biblical faith transforms us from the inside out, moving beyond Sunday morning religion into Monday afternoon reality. Drawing from James, Hebrews, and the example of Abraham, we discover that faith without action is dead, but faith that moves us toward obedience, sacrifice, and service honours God and changes the world around us. Learn how to strengthen your faith through immersing yourself in God's Word, maintaining a vibrant prayer life, engaging in authentic Christian fellowship, and practising spiritual disciplines like fasting, worship, and service. This isn't about perfection—it's about allowing the Gospel to genuinely transform how we think, speak, and live. When our faith moves from the pew to the pavement, people take notice, and more importantly, God is glorified. Join us as we explore what it means to build a faith that doesn't just survive life's storms, but thrives and overcomes in a watching world that desperately needs to see Christ in action…

Standing Firm: When Life Disrupts Ministry

I want to acknowledge that lasts week's video content was affected by unexpected circumstances following a short family break— car troubles, dentist appointments, medical visits, and family matters that required immediate attention. These videos haven't disappeared; they'll be published at a later date and repurposed under a different playlist.

Here's an important truth we must remember: we are all subject to spiritual attacks. Satan doesn't rest, and sometimes life's disruptions aren't merely coincidental—they're strategic attempts to derail our focus and weaken our witness. When these attacks come, our first priority must be to stand firm in prayer, to guard our hearts and homes, and to address these spiritual battles head-on before moving forward with our Kingdom work.

There's no shame in pausing to regroup. In fact, it's biblical wisdom. We cannot pour from an empty vessel, and we cannot lead others effectively if we haven't first dealt with the enemy's schemes in our own lives. So this week, I chose to prioritise spiritual warfare and family needs—and I encourage you to do the same whenever necessary.

Now, let's move forward together with renewed strength and purpose!

God Bless Dave & Elaine

Spiritual Warfare: A Call to Christian Soldiers

Equipping believers to stand firm in faith, fight the good fight, and live victoriously in Christ…

As believers in Christ, we are engaged in a battle that extends far beyond the physical realm. The Apostle Paul reminds us that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12, KJV). This spiritual warfare is not theoretical—it is an active, ongoing reality that demands our constant vigilance and unwavering faith. For those called to serve on the front lines of God's army, the attacks are relentless, yet God has equipped us with everything we need to stand firm and overcome.

The enemy's strategy is deliberate and multifaceted. Peter warns us to "be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8, KJV). Satan launches fiery darts—doubt, discouragement, temptation, accusation, and distraction—designed to pierce our defences and cause us to falter in our calling. These attacks are particularly intense for those who are actively advancing God's kingdom, as they pose the greatest threat to the enemy's plans. When you step out in faith, expect resistance. However, attacks are not evidence of failure; they are evidence of effectiveness.

God has not left us defenceless. Paul instructs us to "take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Ephesians 6:13, KJV). This armour includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Each piece serves a vital purpose in protecting us from spiritual assault. Yet Paul emphasises one piece above all: "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (Ephesians 6:16, KJV). Faith is not passive—it is active trust in God's promises and power, even when circumstances seem overwhelming.

Our victory in this battle is secured through submission and resistance. James 4:7 tells us, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (KJV). We must first acknowledge our complete dependence on God's strength rather than our own. From that position of surrender, we can effectively resist the enemy's attacks. Prayer keeps us connected to our Commander-in-Chief, whilst the Word of God provides our ready defence. Jesus demonstrated this when tempted in the wilderness, answering each temptation with Scripture (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10, KJV).

Remember that we do not fight alone. God has placed us within the body of Christ for mutual support and encouragement. "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2, KJV). Fellowship with other believers provides accountability, encouragement, and strength for the battle. Moreover, our victory is certain. "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4, KJV). The battle belongs to the Lord, and the victory is already won through Christ Jesus. Stand firm, soldier of Christ, and fulfil the calling God has placed upon your life…

With Christ's love,

Dave & Elaine
