Wednesday challenges us to examine whether we're truly following God's call or merely chasing shadows of our own desires. Thursday calls us to be bearers of truth and light in a world growing darker. And we'll close the week on Friday with practical guidance on applying faith to daily life—bringing Sunday worship into Monday reality.

Plus, don't miss our full YouTube content line-up, podcast updates, and a personal reflection on standing firm in truth when faced with hard questions. This week is packed with biblical teaching, practical application, and fresh encouragement to help you walk worthy in this present age.

Living Faith: When Actions Open Doors for the Gospel

When faith meets action, hearts open and the Gospel finds its voice…

There is a saying we have all heard: "Actions speak louder than words." In a world full of opinions, hot takes, and religious talk, people are not mainly listening for what we say. They are watching for what we do. As Christians, this matters. The Gospel is not a slogan. It is the power of God unto salvation, and it produces a real change in real people. When the Lord Jesus Christ saves someone, He does not just adjust their vocabulary. He changes their life. Our example can become the door that opens the way to teaching the Gospel. When people see the Gospel in action, they may finally be willing to hear the Gospel in words.

We live in a loud age. Everyone has something to say. Everyone has a platform. But noise is not the same as truth, and confidence is not the same as Christ. Jesus warned us that there would be a kind of religion that is all outward, all public, and all empty. He rebuked the Pharisees because they looked impressive, but inside was decay.

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." [Matthew 23:27 KJV]

That same hypocrisy turns people off today. The question is not only, "Can I quote Bible verses?" The question is, "Does my life confirm the truth I say I believe?" The Bible does not teach salvation by works. We are saved by grace through faith. But the Bible absolutely teaches that real faith produces real fruit. James makes it plain.

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." [James 2:17 KJV]

We are called to be examples. Paul told Timothy:

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." [1 Timothy 4:12 KJV]

Your life is preaching, even when your mouth is closed. Peter wrote to believers living under pressure, surrounded by unbelief.

"Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation." [1 Peter 2:12 KJV]

People may not read your blog or attend a church service. But they will behold your patience, your integrity, your kindness. Your good works can silence slander, soften suspicion, and create space for truth to be heard. Jesus said it like this:

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." [Matthew 5:16 KJV]

However, there is a critical balance. The Gospel is a message that must be preached. People are not saved by watching your kindness. They are saved by hearing and believing the truth about Jesus Christ. Paul asks:

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?" [Romans 10:14 KJV]

Our actions often earn a hearing. Then our words must deliver the message. And when that kind of love is seen, the world starts to ask questions…

Are You Following God's Call or Chasing Shadows?

Are you truly following God's divine purpose, or are you pursuing the desires of your own heart disguised as His will?

The Danger of Mistaking Our Desires for God's Direction

Are you truly following God’s call, or are you chasing shadows that only feel like His will? In this teaching blog, we expose how easy it is to confuse soul-driven desire with Spirit-led direction, and how “confirmation” can become nothing more than self-validation. Using clear biblical examples and KJV Scripture, this message will help you discern open doors, test motives, take responsibility where needed, and return to true surrender so God can direct your path. If you want to stop forcing outcomes and start walking in God’s genuine purpose, this one is for you…

📝 A Reflection on Standing Firm in Truth

When Asked the Hard Questions: Do You Fear Man or Trust God?

This week, I faced a challenging moment that every believer encounters sooner or later – being asked a difficult biblical question where I had to "stake my flag to the post" and declare what I truly believe. The question concerned those who lose their healing after being healed, a topic that requires careful discernment and honest faith.

In that moment, I was confronted with a choice: Do I fear the response of those asking? Do I soften my answer to avoid controversy? Or do I trust God to use my honest testimony – based on what I believe Scripture teaches and what I've witnessed in my Christian experience?

The Tension Between Pleasing People & Honouring God

It's natural to feel the weight of how our answer might be received. We don't want to offend, appear dogmatic, or create division. Yet Scripture reminds us:

"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."Galatians 1:10 (KJV)

When we're asked to explain what we believe about healing, faith, perseverance, or any biblical truth, we must remember that our primary audience is God, not man. Our responsibility is to speak truth in love, rooted in Scripture and confirmed by the Holy Spirit's witness in our lives.

Trusting God with the Answer

I've learnt that the most honest answer I can give isn't always the most comfortable one – but it's the one that honours God. When I share what I believe based on Scripture and my walk with Christ, I must trust that:

  • God will use my words for His purposes
  • The Holy Spirit will convict or comfort as needed
  • My honesty, even if imperfect, is better than a carefully crafted answer designed to please everyone

The Question of Lost Healing

The specific question about losing healing after being healed is profound. It touches on faith, perseverance, spiritual warfare, and God's sovereignty. Rather than giving a simplistic answer, I shared what I've observed and what Scripture reveals – that healing is both a gift of God's grace and sometimes requires ongoing faith and obedience to maintain.

Some lose their healing through unbelief, returning to sinful patterns, or failing to guard what God has done. Others face renewed attacks from the enemy. But in all cases, God remains faithful, and His power to heal hasn't diminished.

The Courage to Speak Truth

Speaking biblical truth requires courage. It means being willing to stand alone if necessary, to be misunderstood, or even criticised. But it also means trusting that God's Word doesn't return void and that when we speak from a place of genuine faith and experience, we're being faithful stewards of the Gospel.

"Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)

A Challenge to Every Believer

So I ask you: When you're confronted with hard questions about your faith, do you fear man's response or trust God with your honest answer? Do you water down truth to avoid conflict, or do you speak with conviction, knowing that God will honour your faithfulness?

This week reminded me that our testimony matters. Our willingness to speak truth, even when it's uncomfortable, can impact someone's faith journey in ways we may never fully know. Let's commit to being bearers of truth and light – not just in our words, but in our courage to stand firm when asked to give account of what we believe.

May we all have the boldness to stake our flag to the post of truth, trusting God with the results.

Back to Basics: Christian Living - Your Faith Journey. We're excited to share insights and practical guidance to help strengthen your faith journey in 2026…

Living Faith in Everyday Life

Where Faith Meets Real Life – Building a Foundation That Lasts…

Faith isn't meant to be locked away in Sunday sermons or confined to quiet moments of prayer. Real, living faith transforms every aspect of our lives – from the boardroom to the kitchen table, from our relationships to our responsibilities. The challenge we all face is making our faith relevant and practical in the everyday situations we encounter.

Your workplace is a mission field, whether you're in an office, a factory, or working from home. The apostle Paul reminds us, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men" (Colossians 3:23, KJV). This verse transforms how we view our daily tasks. We're not just working for our employers or clients; we're working for Christ Himself. This means giving your best effort, even when no one's watching. It means being honest in your dealings, even when cutting corners might be easier. It means treating colleagues with kindness and respect, reflecting Christ's love in every interaction.

The home is where our faith faces its greatest test. It's easy to be spiritual amongst strangers, but living out Christ's character with those who know us best? That's where the rubber meets the road. Scripture instructs us: "And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children" (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, KJV). Applying faith to family life means creating a home atmosphere where God's presence is evident. When conflicts arise – and they will – respond with grace rather than anger. "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger" (Proverbs 15:1, KJV).

Life's difficulties are inevitable. Jesus Himself told us: "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, KJV). The question isn't whether we'll face challenges, but how we'll respond when they come. When anxiety threatens to overwhelm you, remember: "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God" (Philippians 4:6, KJV). Don't carry burdens God never intended you to bear.

Living faith isn't about occasional spiritual highs; it's about consistent, daily obedience. Jesus illustrated this with the parable of the wise and foolish builders: "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock" (Matthew 7:24, KJV). The storms of life will test everyone. The difference isn't in the absence of storms, but in the foundation we've built.

Ultimately, living faith is about walking in step with the Holy Spirit moment by moment. Paul encourages us: "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16, KJV). It's not about trying harder in our own strength; it's about yielding to God's Spirit within us. When you face decisions, pause and ask for wisdom.

Living faith is a journey, not a destination. You won't get it perfect, and that's okay. What matters is that you're growing, learning, and pressing forward. As Paul wrote: "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 3:13-14, KJV). Your faith is meant to be lived, not just believed. It's meant to transform not just your eternity, but your today…

With Christ's love,

Dave & Elaine
