Feeding Faith: Nourishing Souls with God's Word!
In the journey of Christian living, we often find ourselves at a crossroads between faith and doubt. Like a garden that needs constant care, our spiritual lives require regular nourishment to flourish. When we teach God's Word, we aren't merely sharing information—we're providing spiritual sustenance that feeds faith and starves doubt.
The Bible itself speaks to this powerful truth. In Romans 10:17 (KJV), we read, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." This fundamental principle reveals the divine mechanism through which faith grows. Just as our physical bodies need daily bread, our spirits need regular feeding through God's Word.
Consider how Jesus himself emphasised this when tempted in the wilderness. He declared, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4 KJV). This powerful statement places spiritual nourishment on par with—or even above—physical sustenance. When we teach Scripture, we're offering this life-giving bread to hungry souls.
The prophet Jeremiah understood this profound connection between God's Word and spiritual nourishment: "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart" (Jeremiah 15:16 KJV). Notice the imagery of consumption—Jeremiah didn't merely read God's words; he consumed them, allowing them to become part of his very being.
This spiritual feeding produces tangible results in believers' lives. The Psalmist declares, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee" (Psalm 119:11 KJV). When we internalise Scripture, it transforms our thoughts, actions, and entire character. Teaching God's Word deposits these seeds of transformation into the soil of receptive hearts.
But there's a sobering responsibility for those who teach. James warns, "My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation" (James 3:1 KJV). The term "masters" here refers to teachers. Those who feed others spiritually must ensure they're providing nutritious truth rather than harmful falsehood.
Paul understood this responsibility when writing to Timothy: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV). Proper teaching requires careful preparation and faithful interpretation of Scripture.
The impact of this spiritual feeding extends beyond individual growth. Colossians 3:16 (KJV) instructs us to "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." As we feed on God's Word together, we create communities of faith where mutual encouragement flourishes.
In our modern world filled with spiritual junk food—teachings that tickle ears but lack substance—there's a desperate need for solid spiritual nourishment. Paul warned of times when "they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" (2 Timothy 4:3 KJV).
When we faithfully teach God's Word, we provide an antidote to this spiritual malnourishment. We offer living water to those thirsting in a dry land. We present bread that truly satisfies the deepest hunger of the human heart.
So let us approach the teaching of Scripture with both reverence and joy, knowing that through it, we're participating in God's work of feeding faith and transforming lives. As Peter exhorts, "As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:2 KJV).
Feed faith. Starve doubt. Watch souls flourish under the nourishing power of God's eternal Word…

Tent Revivals & Music Festivals: Authentic Worship in Different Forms?
Throughout Scripture, God has called His people to gather for worship in various settings. From the ancient tabernacle to Solomon's temple, from house churches to modern sanctuaries, the venue has always been secondary to the heart posture of those who gather.
The question of whether tent revivals or Christian music festivals better serve the Kingdom misses a fundamental biblical truth: God seeks worshippers who approach Him "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24 KJV). The apostle Paul reminds us that "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands" (Acts 17:24 KJV).
Tent revivals carry a powerful historical legacy, echoing the biblical tabernacle - a temporary dwelling place where God's presence resided among His people. As the Lord instructed Moses, "Let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them" (Exodus 25:8 KJV). These canvas gatherings strip away distractions and focus on the essentials of faith: repentance, renewal, and experiencing God's presence.
Meanwhile, Christian music festivals reflect another biblical tradition. Throughout Scripture, we see large-scale celebrations incorporating music as worship. King David appointed musicians specifically for this purpose: "And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God" (1 Chronicles 16:42 KJV). The Psalms repeatedly encourage believers to "make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise" (Psalm 98:4 KJV).
Rather than viewing these formats as competing alternatives, we might consider how they complement each other in fulfilling Christ's commission. The early church demonstrated remarkable flexibility, gathering both in formal temple settings and intimate homes. As Luke records, "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart" (Acts 2:46 KJV).
What matters far more than venue is authenticity. The prophet Micah distilled true worship to its essence: "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" (Micah 6:8 KJV). Whether under canvas or on festival grounds, God seeks this heart posture above all.
Both formats offer unique strengths. Tent revivals create intimate spaces for deep repentance and spiritual transformation, while festivals foster corporate celebration and intergenerational worship. When Paul instructs believers to be "teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16 KJV), he places no restrictions on the setting.
Perhaps the most biblical approach is embracing both expressions as valuable parts of our spiritual journey. After all, Solomon acknowledged that even the magnificent temple he built could not contain God: "But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?" (1 Kings 8:27 KJV).
Whether we gather under canvas or on festival grounds, may our worship fulfill the Psalmist's declaration: "I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works" (Psalm 9:1 KJV). For ultimately, it is not where we worship but whom we worship and how we live that matters to God…

Finding Your God-Given Voice in a Noisy World!
In a world that seems to amplify the loudest voices while drowning out the rest, many of us struggle with a profound sense of voicelessness. We speak, but often wonder if anyone truly hears. We share, but question if our words carry any weight. This feeling of being silenced or overlooked affects believers of all backgrounds—yet Scripture reveals a different perspective on our voice and its divine purpose.
The beautiful truth that transforms this struggle is simple yet profound: You already have a voice because God intentionally created you with one. You were "fearfully and wonderfully made" (Psalm 139:14 KJV), which includes your unique perspective, story, and manner of expression.
Biblical history overflows with individuals who initially questioned their ability to speak effectively. Moses protested his calling with the words, "O my Lord, I am not eloquent... but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue" (Exodus 4:10 KJV). Young Jeremiah hesitated, saying, "Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child" (Jeremiah 1:6 KJV). Even David, before his kingship, was merely a shepherd boy overlooked by his own father when Samuel came seeking Israel's future leader.
Yet God powerfully used each of these seemingly voiceless individuals. Why? Because "the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7 KJV).
When struggling to find your voice, remember these essential truths:
Firstly, your voice matters deeply to your Heavenly Father. Even when human ears seem deaf to your words, "The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth" (Psalm 34:17 KJV). The God who counted the very hairs on your head certainly values what you have to say.
Secondly, your personal story serves a greater purpose. Your experiences—both joyful and painful—can become powerful instruments of ministry. As Paul writes, God "comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God" (2 Corinthians 1:4 KJV).
Thirdly, your voice contributes to the body of Christ. "For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office" (Romans 12:4 KJV), your perspective forms an essential part of God's larger narrative.
How, then, do we transition from feeling silenced to speaking with purpose?
Begin with prayer—commune with the most attentive listener in the Heavens before seeking human audiences.
Start small, recognizing that meaningful impact often happens in one-to-one conversations rather than from platforms.
Remain authentic, never mimicking others' voices when God has specifically crafted yours.
Remember Elijah's lesson, that God often speaks not in the dramatic earthquake or fire, but through "a still small voice" (1 Kings 19:12 KJV). Similarly, your impact isn't measured by volume but by faithfulness.
Today, take one courageous step toward using your God-given voice. Whether sharing your testimony with a friend, journaling your thoughts, or simply encouraging someone who needs to hear from you—your voice matters because the One who created it says it does…
